04. Establishment of the grocery access pilot grant program. (a) In Fiscal Year 2025, the Department of Health shall establish a grocery access pilot grant program for the purpose of providing up to 1,000 eligible District residents with membership in a grocery delivery service at no cost for one year. (b)(1) To be eligible to participate in the pilot program, an applicant shall: (A) Be a resident of the District; and (B) Be enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education ('SNAP-Ed') program. (2) The Department of Health shall give preference to an applicant who lives in an 'eligible area' as that term is defined in § 47-3801(1D)(A). (c) At the conclusion of the one-year pilot program, the Department of Health shall incorporate the data collected in the program in their SNAP-Ed program.
