157.04 Bond required before letting contract.—Before letting contract for the construction of any such ditch, drain or canal, the board of county commissioners shall require the contractor to give a good and sufficient bond payable to the Governor of the state, for the construction and completion of said work according to plans and specifications and the terms and provisions of the contract.History.—s. 4, ch. 5035, 1901; GS 953; s. 4, ch. 6457, 1913; RGS 1737; CGL 2788.
