159.607 Removal of members.—A member of a housing finance authority may be removed without cause by a three-fifths vote of the governing body of the county, or for neglect of duty or misconduct in office by a majority vote of the governing body of the county. A member may be removed only after he or she has been given a copy of the charges at least 10 days prior to the hearing thereon and has had an opportunity to be heard in person or by counsel. If a member is removed, a record of the proceedings, together with the charges and findings thereon, shall be filed in the office of the clerk where the certificate of appointment for such member is filed.History.—s. 7, ch. 78-89; s. 891, ch. 95-147.
