161.32 Existing erosion prevention district.—This part shall not be construed to impair the existence, powers or functions of any existing erosion prevention, beach or shore preservation districts created by special or local act; provided, however, that any such existing district may re-create and reestablish itself under the provisions of this act as if originally created and established hereunder in all respects, by resolution of its governing body adopting the provisions of chapter 161, in their entirety and thereafter shall function as a beach and shore preservation district created and established under the provisions of this part.History.—s. 1, ch. 65-408.
