§ 161.39

161.39 Cooperation between two or more counties.—(1) When two or more counties have created one or more beach preservation districts as provided for under this part or any other law with same or like intent, or desire to carry out programs of beach and shore preservation, and find it to be mutually beneficial, the boards of county commissioners of such counties may cooperate to any extent necessary or desirable to carry out the intent of this part or any other law with same or like intent, in the implementation of any beach or shore preservation plan or project as defined herein. This cooperation may include but shall not be limited to cooperative participation in the nonfederal costs of federally authorized projects affecting one or more of the cooperating counties, plans or projects resulting from investigation, or studies made by any or all such counties, or other such plans or projects, which by their nature would prove to be beneficial to each such cooperating county as determined by the boards of county commissioners of each such county.(2) The costs of any such plan or project shall be borne by each of the cooperating counties in accordance with the benefits expected to
