206.96 Reports from Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.—Upon the request of the department at the time of issuing a license plate to the owner of a motor vehicle, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles shall determine the kind of fuel used to propel the motor vehicle, and for those motor vehicles using fuel other than gasoline, shall report to the Department of Revenue within 30 days the name and address of the owner, the make, and motor number of the vehicle.
