817.31 Unlawful use of insignia of American Legion; penalty.—Any person who willfully wears the badge, button or other insignia of the American Legion shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083; provided, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to any member of the American Legion.History.—s. 1, ch. 8464, 1921; CGL 7301; s. 861, ch. 71-136.
