860.02 Carelessness of common carrier.—Whoever, having management or control of or over any railroad train, steamboat, or other public conveyance used for the common carriage of passengers is guilty of gross carelessness or neglect in or in relation to the conduct, management and control of such conveyance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.083.History.—s. 48, ch. 1637, 1868; RS 2692; GS 3637; RGS 5573; CGL 7759; s. 1086, ch. 71-136.
