914.13 Commitment for perjury.—When a court of record has reason to believe that a witness or party who has been legally sworn and examined or has made an affidavit in a proceeding has committed perjury, the court may immediately commit the person or take a recognizance with sureties for the person’s appearance to answer the charge of perjury.
