916.1081 Escape from program; penalty.—(1) A forensic client who is involuntarily committed to the department or agency, who is in the custody of the department or agency, and who escapes or attempts to escape from a civil or forensic facility commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.(2) A person who is involuntarily committed to the department or the agency, who is in the custody of the Department of Corrections, and who escapes or attempts to escape from a facility or program commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
