943.18 Compensation and benefits study; recommendation.—The commission shall make a comprehensive study of the compensation and benefits paid to law enforcement officers and correctional officers throughout the state. Among the items to be researched shall be variation in salary scale, education and training of officers, retirement and pension programs, and any other factors on which compensation is based.
