1013.02 Purpose; rules and regulations.—(1) The purpose of this chapter is to authorize state and local officials to cooperate in establishing and maintaining educational plants that will provide for public educational needs throughout the state.(2)(a) The State Board of Education shall adopt rules pursuant to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to implement the provisions of this chapter for school districts and Florida College System institutions.(b) The Board of Governors shall adopt regulations pursuant to its regulation development procedure to implement the provisions of this chapter for state universities.History.—s. 798, ch. 2002-387; s. 167, ch. 2007-217; s. 27, ch. 2010-78; s. 200, ch. 2011-5.
