1013.18 Radio and television facilities.—(1) A board may acquire, by purchase, license, permanent easement, or gift, suitable lands and other facilities, either within or without the boundaries of the district, for use in providing educational radio or television transmitting sites and may erect such buildings, antennas, transmission equipment, towers, or other structures as are necessary to accomplish the purposes of this section.(2) Fixed capital outlay budget requests for public broadcasting stations and instructional television and radio facilities shall be submitted pursuant to s. 1013.60. The commissioner may include any recommendations for these purposes in the legislative budget request for fixed capital outlay.History.—s. 812, ch. 2002-387.
