316.07456 Transitional implementation.—Any traffic infraction detector deployed on the highways, streets, and roads of this state must meet specifications established by the Department of Transportation, and must be tested at regular intervals according to specifications prescribed by the Department of Transportation. The Department of Transportation must establish such specifications on or before December 31, 2010. However, any such equipment acquired by purchase, lease, or other arrangement under an agreement entered into by a county or municipality on or before July 1, 2011, or equipment used to enforce an ordinance enacted by a county or municipality on or before July 1, 2011, is not required to meet the specifications established by the Department of Transportation until July 1, 2011.History.—s. 7, ch. 2010-80.
