404.31 Florida participation.—The Governor shall appoint two members to the Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Commission from this state and two alternate members, subject to confirmation by the Senate. Initially, one member shall be appointed for a 1-year term and one member for a 2-year term. Thereafter, members shall be appointed for 2-year terms. An alternate member shall not have a term limitation. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments.
