337.2505 Donations for landscape projects.—The Department of Transportation is authorized to accept donations of plans, materials, installation, and maintenance for landscape projects on the State Highway System.(1) The department shall adopt rules for review and permitting of landscape donations. The rules must include, but are not limited to, an examination of the donation’s aesthetic value, feasibility of installation and maintenance, compliance with state and federal regulations, and requirements for a maintenance plan.(2) The department may place signs at the site of donated landscaping where the donation encompasses materials and their installation and maintenance.
