468.601 Purpose.—The Legislature finds that, where building code administration and inspection personnel fail to adequately, competently, and professionally administer state or local building codes, physical and economic injury to the citizens of the state may result and, therefore, deems it necessary in the interest of public health and safety to regulate the practice of building code administration and inspection in this state.History.—s. 24, ch. 93-166.
