497.379 Inactive status.—(1) A funeral director or embalmer license that has become inactive may be reactivated under s. 497.378 upon application to the licensing authority. The licensing authority shall prescribe by rule continuing education requirements as a condition of reactivating a license. The continuing education requirements for reactivating a license may not exceed 12 classroom hours, and the licensing authority may by rule establish criteria for accepting alternative nonclassroom continuing education on an hour-for-hour basis, in addition to a licensing authority-approved course on communicable diseases, for each year the license was inactive.(2) The licensing authority shall prescribe by rule an application fee for inactive status, a renewal fee for inactive status, a delinquency fee, and a fee for reactivation of a license.
