636.045 Minimum surplus requirements.—(1) Each prepaid limited health service organization must at all times maintain a minimum surplus in an amount which is the greater of $150,000 or 10 percent of total liabilities.(2) The office may not issue a certificate of authority unless the prepaid limited health service organization has a minimum surplus in an amount of $150,000 or 10 percent of liabilities, whichever is the greater amount.(3) A prepaid limited health service organization that is authorized in this state and one or more other states, jurisdictions, or countries is subject to ss. 624.4085 and 624.40851.History.—s. 36, ch. 93-148; s. 21, ch. 2000-209; s. 1539, ch. 2003-261; s. 15, ch. 2014-101.
