Section 10-9-8 - Meetings of board; notice; removal of members from board

(a) Meetings of the board of governors, regular or special, shall be held at the time and place fixed by or under the bylaws or, if not so fixed, by the board. Regular meetings of the board may be held with or without notice as prescribed in the bylaws. Special meetings of the board shall be held upon such notice as is prescribed in the bylaws. Unless otherwise prescribed in the bylaws, written notice of the time and place of special meetings of the board shall be given to each member either by personal delivery or by mail, telegram, or cablegram at least two days before the meeting. Neither the business to be transacted at, nor the purpose of, any regular or special meeting of the board need be specified in the notice or waiver of notice of such meeting unless required by the bylaws. Meetings of the board may be called by the chairman of the board or by any other person or persons authorized by the bylaws.(b) Upon receipt of a resolution by a majority of the number of members of the board authorized by this chapter which so certifies and requests, adopted after notice to the defaulting member, the Governor of the state may by executive order remove from membership a member of the
