(a) A law school in this state which has established a legal aid agency or proposes to establish a legal aid agency may obtain approval thereof by applying for that purpose to a judge of the superior court in the county in which the legal aid agency is operating or proposes to operate.(b) The application shall be made in the name of the dean of the law school. It shall request the judge to approve the legal aid agency conducted or proposed by the law school and to establish a standard of indigency appropriate to that county for determining the persons who may be served by the legal aid agency. It shall also include such information and data concerning the law school's legal aid agency and the appropriate standard of indigency as will enable the judge to make the approval and establish the standard as contemplated hereunder.(c) A law school must obtain approval by a separate application in each county in which its legal aid agency is operating or proposes to operate, and any authority to practice legal aid allowed under this chapter shall be limited to the county for which approval of the legal aid agency has been obtained as provided in this Code section.
