Section 16-14-10 - Recognition and enforcement of judgments of other states; reciprocal agreements with other states

(a) A valid judgment rendered by a court of a jurisdiction having a law substantially similar to this chapter shall be recognized and enforced by the courts of this state to the extent that a judgment rendered by a court of this state pursuant to this chapter would be enforced in such other jurisdiction.(b) The Attorney General shall be authorized to enter into reciprocal agreements with the attorney general or chief prosecuting attorney of any jurisdiction having a law substantially similar to this chapter so as to further the purposes of this chapter.Amended by 2015 Ga.
