Section 19-8-28 - Adoption of an orphan

When a child is an orphan, the petitioner shall not be required to have a guardian appointed for such child in order for a guardian to execute a surrender of rights. Such child shall be adoptable without a surrender of rights.Added by 2018 Ga. Laws 285,§ 1-1, eff. 9/1/2018.
