Section 2-3-4 - Purpose and general business of authority

The corporate purpose and the general nature of the business of the authority shall be:(1) The provision of a facility for the agricultural community to present, exhibit, and promote its products and livestock to agribusiness persons and the public in an effort to boost the state's economy;(2) The exhibition and promotion of agricultural accomplishments by the youth of this state;(3) The provision of facilities and programs for public events, exhibits, and other activities, such as, but not limited to, fairs, nonagricultural exhibits, concerts, rodeos, flea markets, and auctions, which will make the authority as financially self-supporting as possible, benefit the state's economy, and attract the traveling public; and(4) The promotion and staging of a state-wide fair at least once a year to accomplish one or more of the above purposes.Renumbered from § 12-3-473 by 2011 Ga.
