Section 31-13-4 - Administration of state-wide radiation control program for radiation generating equipment

The Department of Community Health is designated the state agency to administer a state-wide radiation control program for radiation generating equipment consistent with this chapter and any environmental laws, rules, regulations, standards, or limitations administered by the Department of Natural Resources. It is declared to be the intent of the General Assembly that no provision of this chapter shall be construed so as to repeal, supersede, or preempt any of the functions, powers, authority, duties, or responsibilities assigned to the Environmental Protection Division of the Department of Natural Resources under this chapter or any other laws or statutes of this state.Amended by 2009 Ga.
