Section 33-23-27 - Subagent's certificate of authority

(a) Each agent licensed in this state shall obtain a certificate of authority for each subagent representing such agent in this state.(b) Each subagent's certificate of authority shall be renewed by the agent not more than once every three years in such form and manner as specified by the Commissioner by rule or regulation.(c) Each agent shall also be required to inform the Commissioner of any termination of or change to any certificate of authority for each subagent in such form and manner as may be prescribed by the Commissioner by rule or regulation.(d) The fee for each subagent's certificate of authority or renewal or duplicate thereof shall be as provided by law.(e) The subagent's certificate shall be held by the agent and shall be returned to the Commissioner upon termination of the subagent's authority along with an explanation of the reason for such termination in such form and manner as the Commissioner may specify by rule or regulation.Amended without change by 2001 Ga.
