(a) When a new municipal corporation is created by Act of the General Assembly, the new municipality shall assume the ownership, control, care, and maintenance of county road rights of way located within the area incorporated unless the municipality and the county agree otherwise by joint resolution.(b) This Code section shall apply to any new municipal corporation created by Act of the General Assembly on or after April 15, 2005.Added by 2015 Ga.
