(a) As used in this part, the term: (1) 'Farmer' means the owner of a commercial agricultural or silvicultural operation or an employee thereof. Such term shall also include any spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild of the owner of such operation.(2) 'Farm use vehicle' means an all-terrain vehicle or personal transportation vehicle.(b) A farmer who is 16 years of age or older may operate a farm use vehicle on any public road or highway of this state so long as:(1) Such vehicle has a properly affixed emblem conforming to the requirements of Code Section 40-8-4; and(2) Such vehicle is actively being operated by such farmer to transport: (A) Agricultural products, livestock, farm machinery, or farm supplies to or from a farm; or(B) Such farmer between his or her residence and the farm at which he or she works or between properties of such farm.Added by 2016 Ga.
