The board shall have the authority to refuse to grant, to revoke, or to discipline the license of any licensed dental hygienist in this state based upon any ground or violation enumerated in Code Section 43-11-47, in the same manner and to the same extent as such Code section applies to licenses of dentists, unless the application of any such provision would not be appropriate to the license of a dental hygienist, in accordance with the sanctions, standards, and procedures set forth in that Code section, or for violation of Code Section 43-11-74 or any other law or rule relating to the practice of dental hygiene, in accordance with the sanctions, standards, and procedures set forth in Code Section 43-11-47.Amended by 2004 Ga.
