§ 43-24a-32

Nothing in this article shall prohibit a county, municipality, or other local jurisdiction from:(1) Licensing or regulating other businesses that are not massage therapy businesses;(2) Enacting advertising restrictions on massage therapy businesses to protect the public; provided, however, that this shall not include any restrictions on the content of advertising beyond what is included in Code Section 43-24A-15;(3) Inspecting massage therapy businesses; provided, however, that this shall not be construed to authorize the review of client records protected by the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996; or(4) Prohibiting and prosecuting illicit, immoral, prurient, or illegal activities or sexual activity in the operation or on the premises of a massage therapy business.Amended by 2019 Ga.
