Section 43-34-29 - Issuance of teacher's license to licensed physicians of other states and foreign countries; renewal

Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the board may issue, in its discretion, without examination, a teacher's license to licensed physicians of other states and foreign countries for the sole purpose of teaching or demonstrating medicine in a board approved medical college or its affiliated clinic in this state. If issued after January 1, 1999, a teacher's license shall be valid for up to two years and may only be renewed, at the board's discretion, for one additional year.Amended by 2009 Ga. Laws 243,§ 1, eff. 7/1/2009.
