(a) Every scrap metal processor shall maintain records which shall contain in legible English the following information: (1) For all purchases of vehicles or scrap vehicles from licensed sellers: (A) The date of purchase;(B) The name of the seller;(C) A general description of the purchase;(D) The number of scrap vehicles purchased;(E) The vehicle identification number of vehicles which are not scrap vehicles, if available; or, if not available, a notation of the make and year of such vehicles; and(F) The amount paid for the purchase; and(2) For all purchases of vehicles or scrap vehicles from nonresident sellers or sellers who are not licensed: (A) The date of purchase;(B) The name and address of the seller;(C) The name and motor vehicle operator's license number of the driver delivering the material;(D) A general description of the purchase;(E) The number of scrap vehicles purchased;(F) The vehicle identification number, if available, of vehicles purchased which are not scrap vehicles; or, if not available, a notation of the make and year of such vehicles; and(G) The amount paid for the purchase.(b) The records required by this Code section shall be maintained for a period of not
