§412:12-103 Authority of Hawaii state banks to establish a de novo interstate branch or acquire an interstate branch. (a) With the prior approval of the commissioner, any Hawaii state bank may establish and operate a de novo branch or acquire and operate a branch in a state other than Hawaii. (b) A Hawaii state bank desiring to establish and operate a de novo branch or acquire and operate a branch in another state under this section shall comply with, and the application shall be processed in accordance with sections 412:3-503 and 412:3-505. In acting on the application, the commissioner shall consider the views of the appropriate bank supervisory agencies. The applicant bank may establish and operate the branch when it has received the written approval of the commissioner. [L 1996, c 155, pt of §1]
