§440-32 Amateur contestants entitled to medals and trophies only. A medal or trophy may be awarded to each contestant in an amateur boxing contest not to exceed in value the sum of $35 each. The medal or trophy shall have engraved thereon the name of the winner and the date of the event. No other or additional prize, reward, or remuneration shall be given or awarded to any contestant unless authorized in writing by the boxing commission. Every contestant in an amateur boxing contest or sparring match shall be registered with the commission or its amateur representative and subject to an annual physical examination. Each amateur contestant shall be examined by a physician immediately before the contest.
