(105 ILCS 115/0.01) (from Ch. 122, par. 698.10)\nSec. 0.01. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Eye Protection in School Act.\n(Source: P.A. 86-1324.)\n(105 ILCS 115/1) (from Ch. 122, par. 698.11)\nSec. 1. Every student, teacher and visitor is required to wear an industrial quality eye protective device when participating in or observing any of the following courses in schools, colleges and universities:\n(a) vocational or industrial arts shops or laboratories involving experience with the following: hot molten metals; milling, sawing, turning, shaping, cutting, grinding or stamping of any solid materials; heat treatment, tempering or kiln firing of any metal or other materials; gas or electric arc welding; repair or servicing of any vehicle; caustic or explosive materials;\n(b) chemical or combined chemical-physical laboratories involving caustic or explosive chemicals or hot liquids or solids.\nSuch devices may be furnished for all students and teachers, and shall be furnished for all visitors to such classrooms and laboratories.\nThe State Board of Education shall establish nationally accepted standards for such devices.\n(Source: P.A. 88-9.)
