As used in this chapter, 'disaster relief organization' means an entity that provides emergency or disaster relief services that include health or veterinary services provided by volunteer health practitioners and:(1) is designated or recognized as a provider of the services under a disaster response and recovery plan adopted by an agency of the federal government or the department of homeland security; or(2) regularly plans and conducts the entity's activities in coordination with an agency of the federal government or the department of homeland security.As added by P.L.134-2008, SEC.3.
