(b) The general assembly intends that the first recourse shall be to funds regularly appropriated to state and local agencies. If the governor finds that the demands placed upon these funds in coping with a particular disaster are unreasonably great, the governor may make funds available from money in the budget agency from emergency or contingency appropriations available for emergency expenditures as provided in IC 4-12-1-15.(c) Within the limits of the funds appropriated under this section, the governor may contribute to a political subdivision not more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost of emergency management agency personnel and administrative expenses that meet standards established by the governor.[Pre-2003 Recodification Citations: 10-4-1-26; 10-4-1-27.]As added by P.L.2-2003, SEC.5.
