In appointing the superintendent, the director shall give preference to an honorably discharged veteran of the armed forces of the United States.(b) The superintendent may be removed only by the director.(c) The superintendent is administratively responsible to the director.(d) The director shall determine the superintendent's salary, subject to the approval of the governor and the budget agency.As added by P.L.21-2008, SEC.5.
