The department may provide financial assistance for tuition, books, and supplies for an offender who:(1) is:(A) convicted of a felony;(B) sentenced to a term of imprisonment for that felony; and(C) confined for that felony by the department; and(2) enrolls in a degree program at an eligible institution (as defined in IC 21-12-1-8(2)) of higher education.As added by P.L.229-2011, SEC.103.
