A probation officer may:(1) visit and confer with any person under investigation or under his supervision;(2) exercise those powers necessary to carry out his duties; and(3) act as a parole officer for the department when requested by the department and when the request is approved by the court.As added by Acts 1979, P.L.120, SEC.6.
