'Alcoholic', for purposes of IC 12-23, means an individual who chronically and habitually uses alcoholic beverages to the extent that the individual:(1) loses the power of self control with respect to the use of alcoholic beverages; and(2) becomes a menace to the public morals, health, safety, or welfare of the members of society in general.[Pre-1992 Revision Citation: 16-13-6.1-2.]As added by P.L.2-1992, SEC.1.
