'Toxic material', for purposes of IC 13-27, means any of the following:(1) A chemical substance in a gaseous, liquid, or solid state that meets the definition of hazardous substance in the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (42 U.S.C. 9601(14)).(2) A mixture of substances described in subdivision (1).(3) An element, a substance, a compound, or a mixture designated by the commissioner as a toxic or hazardous substance.(4) A mixture of substances containing a substance described in subdivision (1).[Pre-1996 Recodification Citations: 13-9-1-1 part; 13-9-1-15.]As added by P.L.1-1996, SEC.1.
