§ 14-11-3-1

(a) As used in this section, 'license' means a license, a franchise, a permit, a certification, an approval, a registration, a charter, or a similar form of authorization that may be issued to a person by:(1) the department;(2) the commission; or(3) the director;under Indiana law. The term does not include a license issued by the historic preservation review board established by IC 14-21-1-20.(b) Notwithstanding any other law, the director shall issue all licenses.(c) A designee of the director may issue licenses.
