§ 14-32-6-5-13

If at least a simple majority of the votes cast on the local public question are against the request set forth in the petition, the board shall, when appropriate, do the following:(1) Certify the results of the election in the records of the board.(2) Declare the request set forth in the petition denied.As added by P.L.136-1997, SEC.35.
