7.(b) Owners of cattle, goats, or cervids that are destroyed because they have:(1) reacted positively to a tuberculin test administered by:(A) the state veterinarian or the state veterinarian's agent; or(B) an agent of the United States Department of Agriculture; or(2) been exposed to tubercular animals;are entitled to be indemnified for the cattle, goats, or cervids under the rules of the board and the United States Department of Agriculture, as applicable.(c) Indemnification by the state may not exceed the per animal limit set in the rules of the board.(d) Joint federal-state indemnity, plus salvage, may not exceed the appraised value of each animal.(e) State indemnity may not exceed federal indemnity on each animal.[Pre-2008 Recodification Citation: 15-2.1-7-7.]As added by P.L.2-2008, SEC.8.
