'Forensic medical exam', for purposes of IC 16-21-8, means the following:(1) Appropriate procedures for acquiring evidence that may be used in a criminal proceeding against a person charged with a sex crime.(2) Suturing and care of wounds that stem directly from the sex crime, including anesthesia and prescribed medication.As added by P.L.121-2006, SEC.21.
