§ 16-23-1-45

(a) The governing board has the same rights and powers as the hospital board of a county hospital under IC 16-22-2, except when those rights and powers are in conflict with the rights and powers granted to a city hospital under this chapter. However, a city hospital and the hospital's board of directors do not have authority to act inconsistently with the nature of the city hospital as a body of city government.(b) The governing board may sell or lease real property to others by taking the same steps and procedures that the city served by the city hospital is required to take to sell or lease real property, except to the extent that this subsection conflicts with another statute authorizing the sale or lease of real property.[Pre-1993 Recodification Citation: 16-12.2-5-38.]As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.6.
