A person who, having been summoned as a witness by the authority of either the house or senate of the general assembly of the state of Indiana, to give testimony or to produce papers upon any matter under inquiry before either the house or the senate or any committee of either the house or the senate, knowingly makes default, or who, having appeared, refuses to answer any question pertinent to the question under inquiry, commits a Class A misdemeanor.Formerly: Acts 1937, c.57, s.4.
