(a) The metropolitan school district shall conduct the educational activities of all the schools in the district in compliance with:(1) state law; and(2) the laws of the state of Indiana with reference to public education.(b) The control and administration of the schools of the metropolitan school district are vested in a governing body whose:(1) composition;(2) duties;(3) manner of election; and(4) powers;are described in this chapter.[Pre-2005 Elementary and Secondary Education Recodification Citation: 20-4-8-13.]As added by P.L.1-2005, SEC.7.
