§ 20-26-4-2

A person elected or selected to be a member of a governing body shall take the following oath before taking office:'I solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States of America, the Constitution of the State of Indiana, and the laws of the United States and the State of Indiana.
